The next generation of Health and Racism Working Group and allies have been trained by Martha Ocampo of Across Boundaries on using an anti-racist/anti-oppressive analysis.
This is the second generation of Health and Racism Working Group members to be trained. This year's training was open to Auxiliary members and allied community members, to give an opportunity to broaden our engagement.
A video from YouTube was shown during the training that highlighted the impacts of racism on young women, particularly from the point of internalized racism/oppression. You can view the video here: A Girl Like Me
Thank you to all those that took part in the training and to those who expressed interest in supporting us!
