Each year, the Health and Racism Working Group presents a Symposium to welcome our allies to meet and greet with group members, to showcase the annual expressive arts project, and to address a critical anti-racism issue in the Region of Peel.

In 2008, we welcomed Blakka Ellis, performer, researcher and activist, to help address the intersections of racism and sexism through his work on Jamaican dancehall and misogyny. The Body Mapping exhibit on the impact of racism and sexism on women's health was launched.

In 2009, we welcomed Anthony Templer of the Peel Aboriginal Network, Atkinson Fellow Uzma Shakir, Naturopathic Doctor Erin Psota, and performer True Daley to address the impact of anger on racialized peoples' health. The PhotoVoice exhibit depicted the perceptions the impact of anger on the health of Health and Racism Working Group members.
On May 12, 2010, the 3rd Annual Symposium will be held in Mississauga. Details on time and location to follow. Planning is currently underway on this year's topic.
